Advanced users will appreciate the 3.5mm wired IR input on the rear of the device. This input is designed to be compatible with Xantech, Control4, and other IR distribution or home automation (HA) systems.
The wired IR input accepts signals from 4-12VDC either baseband or modulated and will automatically adjust to the incoming signal. You only need to tell the ps3toothfairy to use its external IR, it will figure out the rest on its own. The input is a standard 3.5mm stereo connector (tip=signal, ring/sleeve=ground). The ELITE model is perfect for advanced DIYers, home automation enthusiasts, or custom installers looking for an easy way to integrate a PS3 system.
- It does NOT INCLUDE the power adapter. We offer a miniature power adapter and USB power cable.

This product meets every important standard (i.e. great build quality, easy set-up, user friendly and works everytime). I feel it even more important to mention the customer service is of the highest standard...quick and efficient. I am using the harmony advanced universal remote one and set-up was quick and easy. It's nice to not have to grab a second remote to see photos, listen to music, etc. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a ps3.

I couldn't be happier with either the ps3toothfairy itself, or the level of customer service received.
The device itself is exceptionally well built and very straightforward to set up. Took about 10 minutes to dismantle my old PS3 controller and put inside the ps3toothfairy. Another 10 minutes to make a quick alteration of a profile for my Harmony remote (I use a 855), and it just worked straightaway. Didn't even need to pair it to the PS3 since I'd already been using the original PS3 remote used. The power-off macro works flawlessly and obviously helps a lot to integrate this quickly.
Postage to the UK worked out much quicker than I had anticipated - only took 4 working days from placing my order to receving the unit. A problem with my postage (absolutely no fault of the sender) was rectified with a level of speed & courtesy that would really put a lot of big companies to shame. Thoroughly recommended.

Just wanted to drop you a quick note and say how pleased I am with my ps3toothfairy. It took me minutes to pair up and works flawlessly with my Harmony 550. What an excellent product for media-oriented PS3 owners who appreciate the use of a single remote. Well worth the price.

I wrote this review over at AVSforums.com and thought i should submit the same here:
I purchased the new version (version 2) of the PS3 Toothfairy and it arrived last week. I wanted something to interact with the PS3 whilst I used my Harmony One universal remote to control everything.
My setup includes the Denon 4306 receiver, PS3, Pioneer Kuro 1080p 50inch plasma. I have my PS3 connected to the 4306 via HDMI, and the Kuro also connected to the 4306 via HDMI.
When I received my PS3Toothfairy (PS3TF from now on) in the mail, it arrived well bubble wrapped, and instruction manual included along with the 3.5mm plugged lead (purchased separately) to connect to the hard wired port at the rear.
The build quality of the unit appears to be exceptional, flimsy plastic is not used on these things.
The first thing is to pair the device with the PS3; it is all well explained in the user manual. Pairing took about 5 mins as I already had the PS3TF harmony profile loaded into the remote

I received this product today and am very pleased. The service was excellent with the vendors making sure that I wanted a US power plug despite being from New Zealand (I did) before billing and sending it to me. Device works exactly as advertised and I had it connected and fully operational with my hamrmony 1000 within minutes - I can now consign the sony bluray remote to the cupboard (its great being able to see the remote in the dark again). After-sales questions have been answered very quickly.

Een super product voor die gene die alles op een afstandsbediening willen bedienen innclusief de ps3. Het werkt perfect en is zeker aan te bevelen. Goede service van Ayman, antwoord direct als je een email stuurt. Niet twijfelen gewoon kopen dat ding.
